Curate Films is driven by a desire to unearth powerful stories, to tell them with a creative brilliance and to take them to as large an audience as possible. Combining the creative with the commercial is entirely possible in documentary. Following the success of Being AP, Curate have recently launched their latest film; Fighting For A City, the story of Leeds boxer Josh Warrington. It premiered as the opening night film for the Leeds International Film Festival at the beginning of November and has now been released by Universal Pictures in the UK.
Curate have a number of new documentaries in development including The Sound Of Family which takes an imaginative and original approach to the story of how the Berlin club scene emerged from the chaos of the Berlin Wall falling. A powerful story of how Somalian women all over the world are committing to the future of their devastated country and Contraddiction. The story of prolific snowboarder Elias Elhardt which is in the final stages of post-production. There are also two further major sports stories lined up for 2019/2020.
